Leslie’s over thirty years of experience offer an extensive background in perioperative and procedural services, progressing from staff RN to Director of Surgical Services, with decades of experience in Level I trauma hospitals. Additionally, Leslie has experience as a certified Surgical Clinical Reviewer for Memorial Hermann Hospital, reporting surgical outcomes to the American College of Surgeons. Her leadership and clinical experience span Operating Room (OR), PACU, Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, Pain Management, and Infusion Therapy. She has extensive hands-on experience across a wide range of surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Burns, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, Total Joint, Spine, Transplants, Pain Management, and DaVinci Robotics. This depth of expertise allows her to evaluate operative and perioperative records with exceptional accuracy and insight, particularly as they relate to perioperative nursing standards of care, hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Sheryl contributes over thirty years of strong clinical experience across multiple specialties, including Medical-Surgical, End-Stage Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, VIP patient care, ICU (including COVID-19 critical care), ICU Case Management, Home Health, and Pediatrics. Her diverse background in inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings provides valuable insight into patient progression, multidisciplinary care coordination, documentation patterns, and adherence to nursing standards of practice, hospital protocols, and state and federal regulations.
